Flares were chucked onto the pitch, reportedly aimed at referee Bruno Amiconi as he lay on the ground during the invasion. Mr Amiconi reportedly needed 10 stitches in his head following the violence.
One match official was later pictured battered and bruised in a dressing room with blood splattered over a toilet and on the floor.
The referee and linesmen, named in reports as Marcelo Acosta and Mauricio Luna, were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Trouble was said to have flared after the referee sent off a Juventud players in the crunch clash against Independiente de Chivilcoy.
A statement from Club Atletico Juventud said the game was called off when one linesman was attacked before fans later invaded the pitch to assault other officials.
As well as attacking the match officials, fans from the home team – who play in Pergamino, a three-hour drive north west of the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires – vented their anger against the visitors’ team coach by smashing its windows with stones.
